Bike symbol on Crouch St indicating desire line into the underpass has been moved (see #34314). Not sure why the bike isn't facing the traffic...

The safest approach, and the only one with clear vision of both the pavement and underpass is where a loading bay has been created (see #35710). Most if not all vehicles using this loading bay are vans which don't have windows and therefore make it impossible to see what is the other side of it.

If the loading bay is non-negotiable, then something else must change, and that it seems should be the post box. Moving that obstacle would improve vision, and increase space, where pedestrians and cyclists are to "share". Note also, the post box appears to be used by traders to pile up their rubbish at the end of the day, reducing space further.

Prohibition sign still at entrance to the underpass.
