Bikes locked to railings at the bottom of Sheergate Steps suggesting a need for more cycle stands in the area.

Since the removal of Sheffield stands and secure lockers (see #17778 and #22606) at Colchester Town station, cyclists are left to use railings. The notice on the railing states: "Private property No parking of cycles"

This unsigned shared pathway leads to St. Andrews Avenue where cyclists can join the route to Colchester North rail station and Town Centre. The tired old railings are not only ugly but also obstructive.
