A nice replacement bridge over the River Colne, but a pity about the tactiles being the wrong type. The sign reads "Please give way to pedestrians on bridge".
A priority crossing for NCN1 over the road to the overflow carpark, but the alignment could be better.
A narrow line-segregated cycleway alongside the Westway. I wonder if the designer thinks it is possible to pass someone coming the other way without crossing the white line. But no-one is likely to get into trouble for doing so.
An attempt has been made to brighten up this narrow passageway under the railway, but no-one has come back to keep it in good order.
Compacted gravel (although top surface is still rather loose) has been added atop the resurfaced section of shared-use pathway through High Woods Country Park. See also #70739.
Hilly Fields Access point from Sheepen Road end. Barriers have been changed & now easier to get through tho still a struggle with the uphill climb. Shame they didnt do other end as shown in http://cycle.st/p52280
Nice wide shared-use pavement giving good permeability between St Leonard's Road and the new housing estate of Lenz Close and Peache Road.
Cycling is now permitted in Lower Castle Park, so long as cyclists stay between the green lines. The cycling prohibited signs have been relocated (see #36150), and new painted signs layed.

This folly links North Station (on the right) and Essex Hall Road, and with some work could provide a much improved route for South/West bound cyclists.
What will be a shared-use path between Westway and a new development in Essex Hall Rd. It could go further however and form a link with North Station (see #30424).
There was a really awkward chicane here until it was thankfully removed, but after resurfacing a new one has been installed.
The height of Balkerne Hill footbridge has been increased. Hopefully this will make cycling legally possible.
The new Layer Rd. toucan crossing has been installed, but not yet operational. Once it is, crossing this busy road will be much improved.
Hawkins Wharf leads to a pleasant riverside walk (see #27333), Hythe Quay, and currently Colne Causeway.
